Jürgen Blickle has been Managing Partner of the SEW‑EURODRIVE Group since 1987. He co-led the Group with his brother Rainer Blickle for 34 years.
In 2021, he took on this responsibility on his own. As Chief Sales Officer, he is also in charge of sales at global level. He also holds the role of Chief Finance Officer and is therefore responsible for the accounting and controlling departments, as well as all legal matters concerning the company and data protection.
In 2022, he was awarded the freedom of the city of Bruchsal. In the same year, he was also presented with the Business Medal of the State of Baden-Württemberg.
Dr. Jörg Hermes took on the role of Chief Operating Officer at the start of 2023. In this role, he is responsible for monitoring the company's business activities, for developing and implementing business processes, and for establishing policies to promote the company's culture and vision.
Dr. Hermes oversees three areas: production, innovation – mechanics, and innovation – mechatronics. In his role as COO, Dr. Hermes, who has a doctorate in mechanical engineering, is also head of Industrial Gear Units Germany, and of the service, technology research, procurement, IT, quality management, and internal audit divisions.
In his additional role as Managing Director innovation – mechanics, Dr. Hermes is responsible for the entire development process in mechanical drive technology.

Dr. Hans Krattenmacher stepped into the role of Chief Innovation Officer Mechatronics in 2018.
In this role, Dr. Krattenmacher, who has a doctorate in electrical engineering, is responsible for the development of customer-focused products and product systems in the mechatronics division. This covers individual components and solutions ranging from cables, inverters, controllers, and communication units through to contactless energy transfer systems, energy management solutions, and decentralized technology.

Christian Mayer took on the role of Chief Production Officer in 2021. In this role, he coordinates, monitors, and manages industrial production in Germany. He is therefore responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly in the electronics and precision gear unit plants in Bruchsal and for production, logistics, and motors in Graben-Neudorf. The graduate cybernetics engineer is also responsible for the production management division. This includes our internal service provider for cost-effective manufacturing solutions and machinery investments, the development division for production and assembly processes, and digital operations for the further development of digital solutions for smart factories.
Mr. Mayer also heads up the Order Processing Center, which is the central body that processes gearmotor and electronics orders while factoring in the availability of materials throughout the entire plant network.
Johann Soder took on the role of Executive Managing Director Special Tasks in 2023. Part of his remit involves exploring futurology and overseeing concept studies as part of research collaborations.
He is also in charge of building and facility management, MAXOLUTION® system solutions and, therefore, innovations for factory automation, and WIEPROconsulting business management, which is the in-house consulting team that optimizes business processes.
In 2021, he was awarded the Grand Medal of Honor by the city of Bruchsal.
