Find a new challenge in just a few steps:
- Apply online – using a fast, paper-free process via our portal. Simply complete the form, upload your documentation, and that's it!
- Confirmation of receipt & reply – you will receive a confirmation straight away. We then generally get back to you within two to four weeks.
- Initial meeting online – in a video interview, we will discuss your reasons for applying and your qualifications. We will also answer your questions openly, treating you as an equal.
- In-person interview – the second time we meet, which will be at our company, we will go into even greater detail about your tasks and how we would work together.
Important information for students:
If you are applying for an internship, a student work placement, or a position as a thesis student, we generally just meet you once. That is often sufficient to cover everything.

Application process for apprenticeships and cooperative study programs
At our company, you can apply online – it couldn't be easier. We regret that we are unable to process e-mail or postal applications. Our apprenticeships and cooperative study programs always start at the beginning of September, and you should ideally apply one year in advance.
What do you need to include in your application documents?

After you apply, you will receive confirmation of receipt from us. It generally takes four to six weeks to process your application. Speculative applications may take longer to process. If you wish to inquire about your application, you should get in touch directly with the person named in the confirmation of receipt.
The best approach is to think of good arguments in advance to win us over. Ask yourself what appeals to you about the position and about our company. Think about what experience and skills you can bring to the position for which you are applying.
It is also helpful to take a look at our website. You will then have all the information you need, plus a feel for the company and a sense of our mindset and how we work.
If you have a degree, it would be great if you brought your thesis with you if it is relevant to the position for which you are applying.

Generally speaking, you will meet with the departmental manager and the relevant member of our recruitment team. Your letter of invitation will tell you the names of the people who will be present.
Yes. After all, we always make our choice based on a specific position and the candidates who have applied at a given point in time. That means you may well be selected for a different position on another occasion.
In addition to your CV, please also send us a cover letter and all your certificates/references so we can get a detailed picture of who you are. For further information, see our application tips.
As a technology company, we are mainly looking for students from engineering disciplines, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, and related subject areas. Computer science and business information systems students who wish to complete an internship or work placement or write their thesis at our company are also very welcome to apply. Interesting tasks await economics and humanities students, too.

You should be following one of the courses of study mentioned above. You have also come to the right place if making a difference and self-improvement are important to you. If you have good communication skills, are a team player, are achieving good to very good levels of performance in your studies, and approach tasks with an eye for detail and analytical understanding, then you will fit in perfectly at our company. We offer many interesting options for your internship or thesis, including research & development, product management, IT, production/logistics, quality management, marketing, sales, service, purchasing, finance/controlling, and HR. An internship at our company must last at least 12 weeks.
Your remuneration depends on your qualifications.
A permanently assigned supervisor in the relevant department will provide you with professional support. If you have questions, you can also contact the staff in our HR department at any time.
You will work on specific projects and/or support colleagues in their day-to-day work. Details about the internship can be found in the relevant vacancy. We will also discuss your tasks with you at the interview.
A project-related posting abroad is possible if you have already completed an internship at an SEW‑EURODRIVE site in Germany.
Yes. Ideally, these should last at least four weeks. More information is available in the Pre-study internship section.
Yes. As a Fair Company, however, we do expect you to provide appropriate proof of the need to complete an internship as part of your training or further education. Details can also be found in our Vacancies section.
The criteria to be accepted as a member of StudentsWorld are as follows:
- An internship lasting at least five months or a bachelor's thesis at SEW‑EURODRIVE
- Completion of at least three semesters
- A student enrollment certificate (regular period of study)
- Subject area: electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or a very closely related course of study

- A good level of academic achievement (if studying for a bachelor's degree, admission to the master's program)
- A good command of English
If, in addition to these criteria, you are recommended by your supervisor, express your interest in becoming a member in a personal statement, and impress us during the final interview, we will welcome you into StudentsWorld.
As a member of StudentsWorld, you will have the opportunity to show us that you are a perfect fit for SEW‑EURODRIVE. Besides developing on both a professional and personal level, you can get a good idea of the entry-level options at SEW‑EURODRIVE.
Members enjoy many different benefits. It is envisaged that your mentor will be a person you already know from your time at SEW‑EURODRIVE. Generally speaking, this will be your supervisor.
There is no guarantee that you will be taken on permanently after being a member of StudentsWorld. That being said, the chances are good if you complete your studies with good or very good final grades, get actively involved in StudentsWorld, and are flexible as far as your potential entry-level position and department are concerned. Early on during the regular discussions about your prospects, we will try to find options for you to subsequently join the company.
