MOVIGEAR® SNI
Single Line Network Installation
With MOVIGEAR® SNI, completely new system concepts can be implemented, since
energy and data are transferred via one standard cable. This principle is called Single
Line Installation. Simplified installation leads to significantly reduced installation and
system costs.

Data exchange between MOVIGEAR® and PLC
- The SNI controller is the interface between PLC and connected MOVIGEAR® drive units
- The PLC receives status information of the MOVIGEAR® drive units via SNI controller.
The SNI controller also controls the MOVIGEAR® drive units
- The SNI controller distributes the data accordingly to the connected MOVIGEAR® drive units
- The SNI controller collects the status information of the connected MOVIGEAR® drive units and makes it available to the PLC

SNI Controller
The SNI controller is intended for decentralized installation in the field. It enables control of
up to ten MOVIGEAR® units. The controller transfers the control information to the SNI controller
by means of
Ethernet signals. The SNI controller is the interface between PLC and connected MOVIGEAR® drive units.
