Area of application
MOVIFIT® is used throughout very different industries, such as automotive engineering,
food and beverages, construction materials, metal-processing, the textile industry, and many more.
Typical applications are conveyor systems, for example roller conveyors, chain conveyors, rotary tables, elevating tables, etc.
MOVIFIT® is implemented whenever decentralized systems are used that require robust housings and flexible connection technology.

Installation technology
The flexible installation technology of the MOVIFIT® system from SEW-EURODRIVE sets new standards,
resulting in more efficiency in component and system planning. The system is really simple:
a modular system that enables the electronics and connection units to be combined and individually
configured to match the requirements of the application and the installation concept.
The electronics unit is housed in the EBOX and comes equipped with communication interfaces, digital inputs and outputs
as well as an optional power component, such as a frequency inverter or an electronic motor control.
The EBOX forms the upper part of MOVIFIT®.

Its counterpart, the ABOX, is a passive unit for connection technology. It is basically a large plug,
which is available in different designs. The simple and uniform closing mechanism of the ABOX and EBOX
facilitates a range of possible combinations as well as quick and easy installation. This means you can
combine the MOVIFIT® system to offer the design best suited to a particular application. The flexible
installation technology covers most application and function requirements.

Safety technology
Safety technology can be integrated in MOVIFIT® FC and MOVIFIT® MC up
to category 3 (EN 954-1), Performance Level d (EN ISO 13849-1), stop categories 0 and 1, "Safe protection against restart".

When using the standard version of MOVIFIT® with an external emergency stop relay or a higher-level controller:
- Stop category 0 (STO) and 1 (SS1) can be realized
- Can be used for all fieldbus types
When using MOVIFIT® with PROFIsafe option S11:
- Stop category 0 (STO) can be realized
- Can be used for the fieldbus systems
– PROFIBUS
– PROFINET IO
- Use of safe inputs and outputs
