IEC foot-mounted and/or flange-mounted motors

The majority of SEW-EURODRIVE motors and brakemotors are mounted to gear units
from SEW-EURODRIVE. Until now, the current series, the DT/DV motors, were also
available as foot-mounted or flange-mounted motors.

Here, too, the DR motor offers more:
- Foot-mounted motors
- Flange-mounted motors with bore
- Foot and flange-mounted motors with bore
- NEW: Flange-mounted motors with thread
- NEW: Foot and flange-mounted motors with thread

Foot-mounted motors
The foot-mounted motors of the DR motor series are designed in accordance with EN 50347.
Increased power ratings for some motor sizes result in new possibilities for the foot-mounted version.
The geometry of the foot is part of the type and catalog designation (FI--) to make it easy for the
customer to recognize when the shaft height of the SEW motor deviates from EN 50347.
The foot-mounted version is also commonly referred to as B3 motor.

Flange-mounted motors
In addition to the product portfolio, SEW-EURODRIVE offers two alternative flange mounting options for the DR motor:
- Flange with bore
- Flange with thread
These versions are also commonly referred to as B5 motor or B14 motor. The identifiers of the flanges
according to the EN 50347 standard do not refer to the diameter, but to the hole circle. SEW has determined
the flange designation accordingly and included it in the type and catalog designation.
